I didn't arrive at Nevada Union until my senior year, after my folks moved to Grass Valley from the Los Angeles area, where I grew up. I made a lot of great friends at N.U and was even elected class president our last semester. I've always considered that quite an accomplishment -- breezing into a small town and making enough friends in a few months to be elected to such a position.

My folks still live in Grass Valley and so I visit several times a year. My wife, daughter (now 9) and I lived in Nevada City for five years from 1991 to 1996, then moved to where we are now just north of Seattle. I miss Nevada County, but life has been good to me up here, and it's a beautiful part of the world, although a bit rainier than I'd like.

I'd love to catch up with you sometime when I'm in your area.
