Graveside services for Linda (Bennett) Boom of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4m at the New Elm Ridge Cemetery. A celebration of life will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the LOVE building, Condon Park in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Boom died Friday, January 20. She was 59.

She was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Grass Valley, to Edith Lindvall. She attended Grass Valley schools and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1965. She worked for Grass Valley Group for 15 years and, at B & C True Value for the last 9 years. She was a member of United Way, Friendship Club, and the Auburn Relay for Life. She enjoyed spending time with her cats, and laughing with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Edith Lindvall; daughter, Stacy Graham of Grass Valley; son, Ted Hawn of Grass Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Dan Forbes, Sharon and Dave Hill all of Grass Valley; brother, Hal Lindvall of Grass Valley; niece Kastonya McKenna of Grass Valley; nephews, Matt Burns and Trevor Hill both of Grass Valley; uncle and aunt, Richard and Carleen Read of Fresno; two grandchildren; and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon and Bernice Read; aunts Leona Gillis, Ione Cukjati, Elaine Bernard; and cousins Terri Cukjati, Danny Cukjati, and Jerry Rush.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
