Garvin Carter, 41, died at this Grass Valley home on Saturday
following a long illness.
He was born in Malvern, Arkansas on January 31, 1947, and came to
Grass Valley at the age of 13. He attended Hennessy School and
graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1965.
Mr. Carter worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Diana; his parents, Marvin
and Bonnie Carter, a sister, Marilyn Hall, two brothers, Morris and
Ed, all of Grass Valley. He is also survived by other relatives in
this area and in Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Hooper and
Weaver Mortuary, Grass Valley. A memorial service will be conducted
at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Carter home, Grass Valley.
