~ Donald Gordon ~

December 29, 1981 ~ Friends of Donald E. Gordon are invited to pay their respects at the Hooper and Weaver Mortuary Chapel until 9 p.m. Wednesday.  Mr. Gordon died at a Grass Valley Motel Sunday at the age of 34.

A native of Nevada City, Mr. Gordon was plant pathologist field investigator for Abbott Laboratories in Illinois.

He was educated in Grass Valley schools and graduated with the Nevada Union High School class of 1965. He was a research associate in forest pathology at Oregon State University and held a master's degree in botany and plant pathology. He was a member of the American Psychopathological Society.

He is survived by his mother, Nadine Gordon, and grandfather, Ernest Brokenshire, both of Grass Valley.  Private burial is scheduled for Thursday morning at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
