HINZMAN, Robert (Bob) Died quietly on February 20, 2004 at Healdsburg District Hospital. Bob was born May 28, 1946 in Palo Alto. Beloved husband of Katherine (Kat), devoted father of Sheli, Keri, Colleen, Lori, Shana, and Jenny, fun-loving grandfather to fifteen grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman with a zest for life; known for his enthusiasm for naturist pursuits, scuba diving, boating, flying, and country western dancing; thrived on work outdoors as a Monterey County Parks park aide and as ranch supervisor for the Eagle Eye Sanctuary for donkeys. He also volunteered for the North Coast Wine and Visitor Center. Bob loved bad jokes and good jests. He was diagnosed late last October with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Throughout the short span of this disease, Bob maintained his dignity and a wicked sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
