Graveside services for Leatta Lou McMurry of North Highlands will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 21, at the New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley.  A reception will follow at the home of Mrs. McMurry's daughter.

Ms. McMurry died Wednesday, August 11, in North Highlands,  She was 52.   She was born on June 6, 1947, in Richmond.  She was raised in Nevada County and attended schools in Grass Valley  She worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 30 years.  She was a member of the Health Care Workers Union, Local No. 250 of Service Employees International Union, and she served as executive vice president of District No. 7.  She enjoyed her family, shopping and working in her local union.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Hughes of North Highlands; sons Mike Yucka of Sacramento and Robert Fellows of Washington state; brother, Dennis McMurry of Alaska; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper and Weaver Mortuary.
