Louis George Pelletier
A celebration of life for Louis George Pelletier of G.V. will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 11, at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Mr. Pelletier died Monday, November 29 at a local medical facility.  He was 57.

He was born July 3, 1947 in San Francisco to Louis Rene and Germaine Marie Jean (Turcotte) Pelletier.  He moved to Grass Valley in 1960, where he attended local schools and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, where he received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Serv ice Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal, as well as a Good Conduct Medal.  He married Janet Bernardis on July 11, 1970, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Nevada City.  He retired as a foreman from PG&E after 34 years.  He enjoyed the outdoors and automobiles.  He was active in custom automotive fabrication, 4-wheel drive jeeping, ham radio, silhouette metallic shooting at the Nevada County Sportsmen and Speedway Motorcycle Racing.   He was a member of the Nevada County Amateur Radio Club.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Janet Marie Bernardis Pelletier of Grass Valley and son Gregory Louis Pelletier of Grass Valley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
