~ Robert Rickard ~ 

A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held
Thursday, September 16, 1999 at 1 p.m. at the Pioneer Park Picnic grounds in Nevada City for Robert Eugene Rickard of Nevada City.

Robert (Bob) passed away suddenly at his home on September 9, 1999.  Robert was born March 8, 1947, in Auburn, California, to Clarence and Ruby Rickard. Bob spent his life in Nevada City, graduating from NUHS in 1965. He also received a degree in electrical engineering from Sierra College.  He was 52.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Wilson Rickard of Salmon, Idaho; Father, Clarence Rickard of Nevada City; Brother and sister-in-law, William and Vicky Rickard of Nevada City; Sister and brother-in-law, Larry and Debbie Thomas of Salmon, Idaho; sons Randy of Hawaii and Eric of Gold Beach, Oregon; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sister, Diana Barry in 1992 and infant brother, James in 1955.

His hobbies and interests included working on cars, gardening, prospecting for gold, poetry, photography, and he loved to dance. Bob was kind and gentle and loved his family and pets very much.  His family and friends will sorely miss his smiling blue eyes
